9/15 CNU Weekly Crime Report

Gabi Campanario/MCT

This past Friday, the parking lot outside of the Ferguson Center was the setting for an assault of a student by an unknown perpetrator. The victim was hit over the head with, a still unknown, object. Chief Brown cannot release any additional information until more details are known.

Threats on the bicycles of CNU are still being threatened. One bike was taken from the Harrison apartments on Saturday, and was locked up. Another, much less successful, attempt was made to steal a bicycle; however, only the lock was broken off.

Several alcohol violations were reported over Fri., Sat., and Sun. Most accounts were of underage drinking, Friday’s incident included a DUI as the drunken student was driving on University Place.

The Ferguson parking lot had some more action other than the assault. A student was reported for being drunk in public, but not underage drinking. The incident is being handed over to CHECS.

James River was the sight of yet another alcohol violation, two in two weeks. Wilson apartments, too, have had their fair share of violations, one on Sunday escalating to disorderly conduct and even verbal threats.
