Crime Log 10/13

A hit and run occurred on Friday in Lot I, it resulted in property damage and no arrests have been made.

Sunday was full of incident reports for CNUPD, making up for a very quiet week before.

Two underage alcohol violations were reported, one on East Campus resulting in a drunk in public charge as well. Larceny was reported on two separate occasions, once in Warwick River and again in Potomac River where an unsecured bike was stolen. An attempt at stealing a bike resulted in the assault of the arresting officer.

Lori Jacobs, public relations representative for CNU, released the following statement in regards to the incident, “While interrogating the subject, the subject became combative, striking the police officer in the chest and attempted to flee from the area.  The subject was subdued and detained for further investigation.”

The bike was returned to the CNU student, and the perpetrator is in jail under a $17,000 bond.
