Crime Log: November 3, 2010
“I saw a CNU alert flyer about some type of exhibitionist,” said Senior Rachel Dodd, recalling the last time she was in the Freeman Center. On 25 Oct there was an incident reported by a female CNU student. She reported being approached by a man in a yellow shirt, blue shorts and a baseball cap; the man is said to be tall and white.
Chief Brown reports, “the suspect exposed himself by dropping his pants and then fled…we are actively investigating this case and believe it is an isolated incident.” An incident concerning an exhibitionist also occurred last year, but the incidents are unrelated.
CNU police would like to remind students to travel in groups at night, request escorts for on-campus locations, and always be alert and communicate your whereabouts.
The Monroe Apartments had a broken window on 29 Oct, in the west stairwell. Resident Katie Evering says, “those windows are pretty thick, it would take a lot of force to break those.” No suspect has been arrested, but the RA has requested that the offender come forward, and that accidents will be tolerated.
Two hit and run incidents occurred over the past week in the Greek Village, including property damage to one vehicle and one motorcycle.
