Ever seen a picture that looked good at first glance, then with further study your mouth suddenly drops? For example I saw a picture of a girl and her friend in the park, then in the background there was a random man digging in the trash can. Or a picture of people taking the escalator to get to the gym. Weird right?
Well sh*tbrix.com has dedicated their website to showing pictures that’ll make you, as they claim, sh*t bricks. All of their pictures look normal at first, but then when you look closer you’ll see something you didn’t expect. Honestly, some of the pictures on this site are quite disturbing. For example a school class photo in which some of the students are missing legs and arms. That photographer apparently doesn’t know how to photo shop. Some of them can be funny, like the picture of the news reporter, reporting on a criminal that looks just like him. But as I asked around, a lot of people have never heard of this site. Now what kind of people look at this site, you may ask? People who need a good laugh, people who are stalling from studying for an exam, and even people who are just chilling in their room. Looking at this site is a really fun and great way to waste the last 15 minutes of your workday or even class.
Some of the pictures you look at will have you laughing your head off as soon as it has you “sh*tting bricks”. In others, you will find yourself holding your laptop 2-inches away from your face and trying to find what the sh*tbrix moment is. Some of these pictures will drive you crazy and you’ll lose track of time trying to see what is so funny about the picture. Before I wrote this article I was on sh*tbrix.com, looking around the site and just laughing my head off. Some of them were scary. For example, the picture of the two divers taking a picture under water, not realizing there is a giant shark behind them. Some people say that the pictures are photo shopped, but I don’t like to believe that. That’s like saying wrestling or WWE is fake. Because it’s not right? Regardless, these pictures are definitely real.
Do you think Christopher Newport University should start something like this hilarious internet sensation? 84 percent of CNU students think we should. (That statistic is fake, just so you know.) But wouldn’t it be great to have a site dedicated to CNU students “sh*tting bricks”? What would we call it? “Captains, say what?” or “ WTH, CNU,” or “You thought no one was CNU”. Get it? What kind of pictures would we have? Maybe someone is taking a picture with their friend in front of the fountain, while someone is swimming in it. A surprising picture would be people playing Frisbee on the lawn with no pants on. I’m cracking up just thinking about it. If we started this site specifically for college students, do you think other colleges would follow?
